The Annual Fund provides unrestricted funds
for Annunciation Orthodox School. All families
and friends of AOS will be sent a request to
make a donation to the Annual Fund every year.
The AOS Book Mural, located outside the Brown
Foundation, Inc. Library at Annunciation Orthodox
School, provides a meaningful way to honor children,
grandchildren, teachers, or to pay tribute to
the memory of someone special. A book will be
painted with your personalized message.
Established in 2005, the Agape Society is a
gift club that will recognize donors who wish
to include Annunciation Orthodox School in their
estate plans. To be contacted by the Development
Staff about including AOS in your estate plans,
please email development@aoshouston.org
or call 713-470-5650.
Established by the class of 2006, the Kelly
Collection is a collection of hardback books
in The Brown Foundation, Inc. Library appropriate
for eighth grade readers. A monetary donation
to this fund will allow the Library to purchase
additional volumes for this collection.
Endowment funds are similar to savings accounts
which generate income through wise investments
of principal. A percentage of the endowment’s
income provides cash toward annual operating
expenses. A common way for a school to grow
an endowment is through a planned gift such
as a bequest or a charitable remainder trust.
Currently AOS endowment funds are in their infancy.
Donations of any amount are welcome to the general
scholarship endowment. Financial aid is awarded
confidentially to financially qualified students.
Our scholarship endowment provides critical
resources to support our financial aid budget.
This is a growing need of the school.
This endowment fund provides capital for the
continuing education of the AOS faculty and
staff. Income generated from this fund helps
pay for teachers to take graduate level courses.
Teachers can be reimbursed up to $500 per semester
for an approved course.
Established with a gift from the Fondren Foundation,
the income from this endowment provides resources
to maintain our facilities.
