| Library time at the Jones
Center (preschool through pre-kindergarten)
is a very special time for our Early Childhood
students. During weekly storytime visits by
one of our librarians to each class, the students
are exposed to a variety of age appropriate
books chosen from our collection in the Lower
School Library. The librarian brings with
her a selection of books for the classes to
borrow for the week. Librarians work as closely
with the Jones Center educators as they do
the rest of the faculty. During various units
of study, the librarians offer an array of
books to enrich the curriculum. Jones Center
students earn the responsibility of directly
borrowing books from the library when they
graduate to kindergarten and move to even
greater experiences during library time. |
