Message from Head of Early Childhood and Lower School

Welcome to the Annunciation Orthodox School Jones Early Childhood Center and Lower School which encompasses three year olds through fourth grade.  The Jones Early Childhood Center includes the Delphi Class and Prekindergarten programs.  Currently, there are approximately seventy-eight children divided into two Delphi and three prekindergarten classrooms.  In the Lower School, there are three sections each of kindergarten through fourth grade.

Students at both the Jones Early Childhood Center and Lower School are provided with developmentally-appropriate instruction, materials and activities.  The students are encouraged to explore, create, take risks and problem solve during interactive lessons.  They experience hands-on activities and center time.   We hope our students develop a love of reading and writing through their participation in storytelling, various literacy activities and dramatic play.

Our school is a faith-centered Christian community in which mutual trust and respect are valued.   The faculty and I are committed in providing students with both a challenging and caring environment that promotes a life-long love for learning.  Our program strives to help students become well-rounded individuals who develop academically, socially, physically, emotionally and spiritually.
