Composting is Caring
Penny Angelo

AOS dad, Mr. Wood, and his colleague Mr. Villa gave 1st-grade students an up-close look at composting. Students have been learning about the many ways they can be respectful community members. One way to improve our community and environment is to make better use of food waste. Mr. Wood showed students a composting bucket and explained how food turns into compost when combined with carbon. Eventually, that compost can be used to help grass and gardens grow. Thanks to Moonshot Compost, AOS has composted 10,066 pounds of food waste since last year!
