The mission of AOS athletics is to nurture the whole person—the spiritual, the mental, the emotional, and the physical. Student-athletes are encouraged to try any and all sports as long as they are committed to work as a team member and attend practice and games.

Ancient Greek Government Models

After learning about the four types of ancient Greek governments (tyranny, monarchy, democracy, and oligarchy), 6th-grade students were given 10 minutes to make a representative model and take a photo of it. Models were made from individual packets of gummy bears plus anything else in the student’s desk area. Advisories participated in a Kahoot where they had to guess what everyone’s model government was.
