A Day for Dr. Seuss
Penny Angelo

Kindergarten students celebrated National Read Across America Day with books from a well-known author! In honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday, also known as National Read Across America Day, students read Green Eggs and Ham, There’s a Wocket in my Pocket, Horton Hatches an Egg, and The Cat in the Hat. Each classic tale was paired with a thematic activity. Students enjoyed a green egg and ham treat, created their own critters to keep in their pockets, made their own animal combinations, and of course, they constructed red and white word family hats. Our kindergarten teachers never cease to amaze us with their ability to make learning fun!
