A Greek Cafe
Penny Angelo

OPA! Second-grade students traveled to Greece on Monday. After studying Greek food and vocabulary, students participated in a mock Greek cafe led by Ms. Noffsinger. Of course, no Greek experience is complete without a bit of Greek dancing, so students started their lesson with Mrs. Koinis and a classic Kalamatiano. They then moved through a food line and spoke Greek to ask for their authentic Greek meal. For example, to politely order potatoes, they said, “Παρακαλώ, θέλω πατάτες.” What a fun, and delicious, way to practice their language skills!
