Bats & Math
Penny Angelo
Kindergarten is studying nocturnal animals, and there’s no better example than the bat! After learning about bats, each student cut out their own and measured its wingspan using non-standard units. Students used various objects including popsicle sticks, Unifix cubes, links, and blocks. As it turns out, each measurement was different because each unit of measurement was a different size. What a great way to wrap up October!
