Celebrating Differences
Penny Angelo

Delphi students learned to celebrate their differences after reading a great book. In honor of Black History Month, Delphi students listened to Skin Like Mine by Latasha M. Perry. This wonderful story helped our youngest students to embrace the qualities that make them unique. During a discussion, students were asked, “What do you think the world would look like if we all looked the same?” and “Why do you think God made us all different?” The story and discussion provided inspiration for a self-portrait project where each student used their artistic skills to showcase a picture of themselves.
