Christmas Time is Here
Penny Angelo

After a year-long hiatus, Christmas concerts returned to the Cathedral! Dressed in their holiday best, Delphi and PK students kicked off performances on Wednesday with a Wiggly Nativity. Under the direction of Mrs. Bonasso, they sang the story of Jesus’ birth, and made sure to use their loudest voices when singing “Go Tell it on the Mountain.” With help from Ms. Noffsinger, students concluded their shows with Greek Carols.

That same evening, middle school students who participate in Chorus, Ukulele Choir, and 7th Grade Chamber Choir had their performance. Students showcased their musical talents by playing instruments and singing. From “Way Down in Bethlehem” to “Hallelujah Chorus,” students filled the Cathedral with the spirit of Christmas. To end the evening, Mrs. Gray and her students led the audience in a sing-along of Silent Night.

This year’s performances will definitely be ones to remember as we are all able to gather once again and share in the joy of Christmas. If you missed any of the performances and would like to see a recording, please check out the Cathedral’s Youtube channel, and tune in next week for lower school’s performances!

We wish you all a very Merry Christmas!
