Cooking with a Special Guest

To “spice things up” this week, students in the Greek Culture and Cooking class had the opportunity to cook under the guidance of another Greek “chef.” Professor Dimitrios Kalliontzis, a mechanical engineering professor at the University of Houston by day and an avid cook by night, took over our class and taught students how to make the lazy cook’s tyropita (cheese pie with no phyllo) and a traditional chocolate mosaic log. These are two, quick and easy-to-make recipes for anyone with a busy schedule like a professor!
