Fun With Drums
Penny Angelo

3rd-grade students enjoyed a morning with frame drums in their music class. They learned that the drums could be played with more than just their hands. With help from their elbows, heads, and knees, they created rhythm! Under the enthusiastic direction of Mr. Row, students also scratched the top of the drum, used individual fingers, and knocked on the side of the drum to produce sound. The drums were a great way to learn the basics of rhythm, and students could not have had more fun.
