Go with God

Father Michael Lambakis has been a cornerstone of the AOS community since 2006. As Dean of the Cathedral, he has faithfully shepherded the hearts and souls of our students, employees, and families. After 19 remarkable years of service to Annunciation Orthodox Cathedral and AOS, Father Michael is now serving as the Dean of Students at Hellenic College and Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology in Brookline, Massachusetts. While it’s hard to imagine our hallways, classrooms, and Chapel services without him, we know his presence will continue to be felt. He has known our students personally, spoken truth into their lives, and helped form their spiritual foundation. The scope of his impact—reaching thousands of students over nearly two decades—is truly extraordinary.

A lifelong servant, Father Michael has given of himself to his family, to the Cathedral, to AOS, and to our country. As an ex-officio member of our Board of Trustees, he has helped guide our school with wisdom and grace. He has prayed over our community at countless gatherings and has brought joy to our youngest learners with stories from his time in the Navy each Veterans Day.

Since the day he arrived, Father Michael has embodied humility, warmth, and unwavering faith. He is a listener, a mentor, a teacher, a steady hand—and always, a father in the truest sense. He is also a proud AOS parent to his sons, Andrew and Nicholas, both of whom were AOS lifers.

Above all, Father Michael has been a bridge connecting generations, strengthening families, and reminding us what it means to live with love. His open heart and open door have been gifts to us all.

This year, Father Michael is the recipient of the Triantafilou Award. Since Annunciation Orthodox School’s 50th Anniversary Celebration in 2021, this award is presented each year to someone who truly embodies and promotes the mission of our school. Named in honor of Father Nick Triantafilou and his wife, Presvytera Diane—the visionary founders of AOS—this award reflects their enduring legacy. Thank you, Father Michael, for your faithful commitment to Annunciation Orthodox School, to our students, and to their families. You have embodied the mission of our school in the most meaningful of ways. Your legacy lives on in this community. May God’s grace go before you. We wish you all the best for your next chapter!
