First-grade students were in for a treat! Published author and AOS grandmother Cynthia Guill paid a surprise visit to her grandson Sidney this week! She read her book, Hungry Hap, to the class and every student giggled the whole way through. Hungry Hap is a fictional story based on Cynthia’s dog, a very large dog, who has an incredible appetite. Hap and his boy Henry explore Nantucket where Hap dreams of eating everything he can think of, including a Christmas tree! Cynthia also surprised each student of the class with their own copy, so if you’d like to know how Hungry Hap ends, be sure to check in with a student in Mrs. McKenzie’s class!
