Students in Mrs. Martin’s class read about the Greco-Persian wars and used their performance skills to act out important parts. Different groups were assigned different wars to act out. The wars included the Crossing of the Hellespont, the Battle of Thermopylae, the Burning of Athens, and the Battle of Salamis. Students in the audience were tasked with writing down four main points about each war, and they discussed the outcomes as a class. From cardboard boats to cardboard crowns, our historians enjoyed bringing history to life in the classroom!
