The mission of AOS athletics is to nurture the whole person—the spiritual, the mental, the emotional, and the physical. Student-athletes are encouraged to try any and all sports as long as they are committed to work as a team member and attend practice and games.

First-grade teacher Brian Berneking and third-grade teacher Julia Jones were nominated by their students to receive the 2025 Marie Fay Evnochides Award! This $15,000 cash award is given directly to deserving teachers who prepare tomorrow’s leaders by fostering optimism, creativity, critical thinking, and lifelong learning. They model superior instruction in their actions and words while providing a challenging, rigorous, creative, and nurturing classroom. Congratulations Mr. Berneking and Mrs. Jones! AOS is so proud!
