Quiz Bowl Teams Compete Nationally

On April 25 the NAQT MS Individual Player National Championship Tournament was held, and Charlie B. ‘22, Marcos C. ‘22, Christopher H. ‘22, and Anna O. ‘21 competed. Of the 50 participants, Charlie B. ‘22 placed 27th in the nation. Only one other Houston-area student placed higher than Charlie.  

Two AOS teams qualified for the NAQT MS National Quiz Bowl Championship. The A Team (8th grade) of Max C., Lucy W., Porter G., Jack B., and Anna O., and the B Team (7th grade) of Christopher H., Charlie B., Marcos C., and Henry C. competed on May 1-2. We are so proud of the grit and determination of these students and wish them continued success. Congratulations to them and their coaches, Mrs. Natalie McAfee and Mrs. Alicia McDonald.
