Students in Mrs. Wise’s art class took selfies to the next level. After a digital abstraction lesson, 7th- and 8th-grade painting students composed a selfie to reflect their personality. The selfie was edited in a photo editor and after using the grid method, the portrait was then transferred from a black and white print to a canvas. Finally, students chose their favorite color to paint a monochromatic acrylic portrait. Who knew a selfie could go so far beyond our phones?
