Palm Sunday
Penny Angelo

Mrs. Koinis shared the story of Palm Sunday with PK students. She explained that Jesus was greeted by people waving palms when he entered Jerusalem. This is a reminder for us to also welcome Jesus into our hearts. Two students pretended to be Jesus and a donkey. They walked through the crowd while the rest of the class waved palm leaves to celebrate the joyous occasion. To end the lesson, Mrs. Koinis read the story of Easter and students learned how to say “Christos Anesti!” and “Alithos Anesti!,” two Greek phrases that mean “Christ is risen!” and “Truly He is risen!”
