Reading Realistic Fiction
Penny Angelo

Cereal boxes got a makeover in Mrs. Ferguson’s class. Fifth-grade students have been studying the genre of realistic fiction since the start of the school year, and each student read a book in this category as well. After completing their book, students turned cereal boxes into 3D displays to showcase their learning. Each side of the box indicated a different skill they learned and practiced throughout the unit. Make sure to take a walk by Mrs. Ferguson’s room to see the colorful boxes in the window!
