The mission of AOS athletics is to nurture the whole person—the spiritual, the mental, the emotional, and the physical. Student-athletes are encouraged to try any and all sports as long as they are committed to work as a team member and attend practice and games.

Sunday of The Holy Cross

The third Sunday of Great Lent in the Orthodox Church is the Sunday of The Holy Cross. On this day, we are reminded that the cross is there to give us strength. Second-grade students in religion class carved crosses out of soap. This serves as a reminder that while soap cleans us on the outside, Jesus died on the cross to clean us on the inside.
