How many syllables are in the word candy? Kindergarten students played a game to find out! After attending a phonemic awareness workshop presented by some of our talented lower school staff, Mr. Elam and Mrs. Demeris tried out a few games in their classroom. The students had to listen for Halloween words and then take steps forward to show the number of syllables they heard. If they counted correctly, they made it to the end of the path where they were able to go trick or treating! It was truly a treat to learn this skill!
