There are so many times that we give love or show kindness to someone without even realizing it or saying it. God wants us to give love and to love one another unconditionally. Giving love should not be a business transaction. God wants us to give love without expecting anything in return. 

God has unconditional and enduring agape for all human beings. He showed this love by sacrificing his son, Jesus, the second person of the Trinity, to atone for human sin. We are called to give the same agape to others.

Let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 1 John 4: 7-10
