Word of the Month | Repentance
Maria Papageorgiou & Connie Koinis

Repentance does not only mean to regret and confess your sins, it also means to be aware of your wrongdoings.  By doing this, we are actually freeing ourselves from all of the negative thoughts, and we are turning towards a complete life that honors God.

Repentance starts from the heart and leads to a change in the way we act in life. At AOS, we teach our students to recognize the mistake that they have made and ask for forgiveness. We ask them to apologize and try to do what they can to fix their mistake. We also ask them to make better choices and keep God as their guide.

From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Matthew 4:17
