The learning environment at AOS encourages students to try something challenging, take academic risks, and abandon the fear of failure.
AOS educators are committed to providing students with an engaging curriculum in a nurturing environment. They instill excitement for the discovery of knowledge while motivating students to reach individual goals and explore their unique strengths and talents.
The AOS curriculum is highlighted by cross-curricular collaboration and STEAM-focused integration. Whether it be student-created podcasts that showcase student-written poetry or the creation of self-portraits in partnership with a unit on Frida Kahlo, our faculty members consistently look for opportunities to work together to extend student learning and deepen student engagement.
AOS offers courses in the traditional core areas of study such as language arts, mathematics, social studies, science, and world languages. Physical education, religion, visual art, drama, music, and technology are also offered as part of the curriculum.
