The mission of AOS athletics is to nurture the whole person – the spiritual, the mental, the emotional, and the physical.
Student-athletes are encouraged to try any and all sports as long as they are committed to work as a team member and attend practice and games. Therefore we have a no-cut policy for all sports offered at the school. Instead, we have multiple teams of different skill levels to give all of our athletes the opportunity to play the sport they choose. The goal for our athletes is to see beyond the individual and to work together for the good of the community.
AOS is a member of the Houston Junior Preparatory Conference which includes The Village School, The John Cooper School, St. John's School, The Kinkaid School, St. Francis Episcopal School, River Oaks Baptist School, Second Baptist School, First Baptist Academy, Presbyterian School, and Duchesne Academy.
AOS competes in a wide variety of sports for seventh and eighth grades. The sixth grade competes in Cross Country and Track & Field only.
