Library

Our libraries provide resources and promote collaborative learning opportunities so that students grow as:

  • lifelong explorers of reading

  • critical thinkers who build connections

  • creators and communicators of new knowledge

  • responsible citizens in a global society

Lower School Library

The lower school library is an inviting space for students to browse for books. The library program encourages a lifelong love of reading through a diverse collection of titles. Weekly library classes for grades K-4 support learning in the classroom by integrating literacy skills and research. Jones Center students enjoy weekly visits with the Lower School Librarian that build early literacy skills and a love of reading through stories, rhymes, and movement.

Middle School Library

The middle school library program for students in grades 5-8 encourages independent reading through diverse books, ebooks, and audiobooks. Carefully curated print resources, databases, and project guides assist students in their research. In collaboration with classroom teachers, the library program guides students in developing research skills: constructing searches, evaluating information, note-taking, and creating citations.
